So many people in the bay are obsessed with money waaaay more than anyone i know in NYC. Every other convo I have with people in my age demographic is everyone bragging about how much they raised or speaking jealously about someone else who raised more. A side effect is this is that everyone is so scared to ever say anything bad or be real with anyone in a position of power. I personally tell anyone I don’t like that I don’t like them and to fuck off because unlike most of you retards I actually have real skills, real success, and a real gf so I’m not looking for validation from anyone else lol. Ofc this doesn’t apply to the people running actual successful companies as they don’t need to say anything as you can feel the aura when you’re around them. Regardless, i will try to make a meaningfully effort to exalt the engineers and innovators more who are the backbone of this whole place and don’t get the recognition they deserve!
