This was very clear to anyone who uses it to build anything. AI has allowed me to write C drivers to PCIe endpoints and hack together custom kernels which despite my background would have taken me significant time to figure out. Similarly stories from people who have never made a website in their whole life or lack any programming training can now do it without much trouble. The point is AI enables you to do more than you typically can. Therefore, this is more work to do and that’s somewhat proportional to the number of jobs there are. You still need humans to plan, manage, and know what to do which is 99% of the problem and the doing is actually pretty secondary now. We still have a ways to go between what we have now to an AI CEO planning and making all the decisions.
