The obsession with your job and linking it to intelligence is striver cope for having no other defining qualities and has to die. Since when did clocking in at a specific employer become a proxy for intelligence? It’s LinkedIn brain rot and not very lindy if you look at history. Stupid people are everywhere, and a huge share of them coast on pedigree rather than any real accomplishments. Passing some leetcodes and surviving a couple of PIP cycles is not evident of your intelligence but it is evidence of your conformity. And talking about “averages” here is as useful as talking about the average weather in California.
