Quick Insights

Investors should maintain a high allocation of Bitcoin (BTC) and cash while avoiding aggressive buying at current levels, as a return to the $60.5K range is highly probable. For those looking to enter BTC, utilize a slow Dollar Cost Average (DCA) strategy over six months rather than a lump sum, targeting a bull market confirmation only if price closes above $95.7K. Delay purchasing Altcoins until the Altcoin/Bitcoin ratio drops below 0.4, signaling a period of extreme market capitulation. Focus your watchlist on high-liquidity "blue chip" assets like Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), and Binance Coin (BNB) to buy during the next significant market flush. Maintain a 20% cash reserve to capitalize on these potential downside opportunities when general market sentiment reaches "crypto is dead" levels.

Detailed Analysis

Bitcoin (BTC)

• The speaker maintains a cautious outlook, suggesting the bear market bottom may not be in yet because the price has not touched the 200-week Simple Moving Average (SMA), a historical "cheap" level currently sitting at $60.5K. • Short-term Trend: Bitcoin is currently in a daily uptrend. To maintain this, it must hold above the $74K level. • Price Targets:Bullish: If the uptrend continues, $85K is a possible short-term target. • Bearish: There is a high probability (over 50%) of returning to the low $60Ks in the coming months. • Resistance Levels: Significant resistance exists at $83.9K (200-day SMA) and the ultimate bull market confirmation level at $95.7K (50-week SMA).

Takeaways

Hold existing positions: If you bought under $65K, the recommendation is to continue holding. • Avoid aggressive buying: At $78K, Bitcoin is considered "expensive" relative to bear market lows. • DCA Strategy: If you must buy now, use a slow Dollar Cost Average (DCA) approach spread over six months rather than a lump sum. • Risk Management: The asset is currently in a "no man's land"—roughly 20% away from bull market confirmation and 20% away from being "cheap."

Altcoins (General)

• Altcoins are currently underperforming Bitcoin. The speaker uses the Total 2 (Altcoin Market Cap) / Bitcoin Market Cap ratio to determine value. • Target Entry: The ideal time to buy is when this ratio drops between 0.36 and 0.41. This level represents extreme "capitulation" where sentiment is at an all-time low. • Correlation Risk: Even if altcoins look cheap on a ratio basis, a Bitcoin price drop will still cause altcoins to flush further.

Takeaways

Wait for the "Double Signal": Only buy altcoins when two conditions are met: 1. Bitcoin drops to the low $60Ks (200-week SMA). 2. The Altcoin/Bitcoin ratio drops below 0.4. • Sentiment as a Signal: The best time to buy is when the general public claims "crypto is dead" and mocks investors for buying. • Preparation: Use the month of May to build a watchlist of fundamentally strong assets rather than deploying capital immediately.

Specific Altcoins Mentioned

• The speaker identifies a specific list of "fundamentally strong" altcoins that are expected to recover once the market cycles turn: • Ethereum (ETH)Solana (SOL)Binance Coin (BNB)XRP (XRP)Tron (TRX)

Takeaways

Focus on Blue Chips: When the market eventually bottoms, stick to established assets that have survived previous cycles and have high liquidity. • Anticipate Volatility: Expect these assets to see a "big flush" (significant price drop) if Bitcoin rejects its current levels and heads toward $60K.

Investment Themes & Strategy

Portfolio Allocation: The speaker reveals a personal allocation of 80% Bitcoin and 20% Cash. • The "Anti-Inflation" Play: Bitcoin is viewed as a dual-purpose asset that captures both the "risk-on" growth of the stock market and the "anti-inflation" properties of gold. • Patience over FOMO: The primary risk identified is "getting ahead of oneself" and buying altcoins too early due to Fear Of Missing Out (FOMO). • Market Sentiment: The speaker believes we are not in a confirmed bull market yet. A true bull market requires a weekly close above the 50-week SMA ($95.7K).

Takeaways

Maintain Liquidity: Keeping a cash reserve (e.g., 20%) allows you to capitalize on the "final flush" when others are wiped out. • Ignore Short-term Noise: A rally to $85K does not confirm a bull market; stay disciplined and wait for the technical confirmations mentioned.

Video Description
Three honest questions about buying Bitcoin and altcoins this month, and what I's_actual_ly doing with my own portfolio. First: is Bitcoin cheap right now at 78K? Not really. Every prior cycle (2018, 2020, 2022, COVID crash) Bitcoin touched or went below the 200-week SMA at the bottom. We bounced at 60.5K this time and haven't gone there yet, which means there's still a high-probability scenario where Bitcoin revisits the low 60Ks before the bull market is confirmed. Second: is May the right month to buy Bitcoin? My take: do nothing if you already hold. If you don't, slow DCA over six months is the cleanest way to build a position without timing risk. Third: when do altcoins actually become cheap? Two specific on-chain conditions need to hit at the same time. Bitcoin needs to drop to the low 60Ks (the 200W SMA at $60.5K), AND the Total2-versus-BTC ratio needs to fall below 0.4. The ratio has bottomed between 0.36 and 0.41 in every prior bear market bottom, every single one. As of right now we're at 0.41 to 0.42, so we're close, but not there yet. When both conditions hit at the same time, that's my signal to deploy the last 20% of my portfolio into altcoins. I already hold 80% Bitcoin from the low 60Ks and I'm not selling Bitcoin to rotate. The 20% reserve is for the moment of peak altcoin pain when the crowd thinks crypto is dead. ---------------------------------------------------- 🔥 Copy my Bull Market Portfolio 🔥 1️⃣ Watch tutorial on Bull Market Bots 2️⃣ Sign up to Pionex: https://bacon.link/pionex 3️⃣ Claim deposit bonus: https://bacon.link/pionex-bonus 4️⃣ Join our free community The Coiners : https://app.thecoiners.io 5️⃣ Copy my Bull Market Bots: Bitcoin: https://bacon.link/btc-hold-bot Ethereum: https://bacon.link/eth-hold-bot Solana: https://bacon.link/sol-hold-bot All Trading Strategies: https://bacon.link/all-bots Strategy Settings and History: https://bacon.link/portfolio-2025 ---------------------------------------------------- All Exchanges and Links ✅ Pionex Exchange: https://bacon.link/pionex (Best Trading Bots, KYC Friendly) ✅ Bitunix Exchange: https://bacon.link/bitunix ($5,500 Bonus, no KYC) ✅ ByBit Exchange: https://bacon.link/bybit ($30,000 Bonus, KYC Needed) ✅ NordVPN: https://bacon.link/nordVPN (Protect yourself with a Dedicated IP for Exchanges) 💎 Free Trading Community The Coiners : https://app.thecoiners.io 📢 Follow my X for Quick Alpha: https://x.com/virtualbacon0x 📢 Courses, Exchange Guides, and All Links: https://virtualbacon.com/ ----------------------------------------------------- Chapters 0:00 Intro 0:08 Why Altcoins Crash Every Cycle 0:35 Condition 1: The 200-Week Bitcoin SMA 1:35 Bitcoin's Daily Uptrend (Why 60K Is Months Away) 2:55 Bear Market Not Yet Confirmed 3:20 Why I'm Holding 80% Bitcoin and Doing Nothing 4:35 The Pivot to Altcoins 5:00 Condition 2: The Total2/BTC Ratio 6:35 Timing the Ratio Bottom (Four-Week View) 7:00 Why Both Signals Need to Hit Together 7:30 Which Altcoins I'm Targeting (ETH, SOL, BNB, XRP, TRX) 8:00 Nobody Wants to Touch Altcoins.
