over the past two years we’ve used the Rekt IP, born from @rektguy, to create a global CPG brand, selling flavoured sparkling water, energy + focus powders and drinks. we’re now at a point where we have our manufacturing and distribution rails in place, we have inventory lined up and it’s time to increase our customer base and community even further. having sold over a million drinks DTC from our website, online from Amazon and also in physical retail stores in both the US and the UK, we have a strong sense of our “product market fit” - our biggest customer base has always been those who are “terminally online”, whether it be trading, crypto or AI. the natural next step for our brand would be to spend a tonne on sponsoring content, with the hope of getting the brand more visible and increasing sales. but we thought about what got us here in the first place, it was creating the content ourselves, something which we stopped doing as we spent more time on building the brand. our biggest audience and consumer base is people who are crypto + ai native, i truly believe that is an untapped market demographic which is not acutely focused on by bigger brands (aside from gaming obviously)...and from here on we have two options to grow bigger in it: 1. sponsor loads of streams, creators, content etc - yes this would be great, but it’s not cheap and generally low ROI in terms of conversion. 2. create our own content; streams, write-ups, trades etc - after all this is what got us here in the first place i definitely believe my time in the last 2 years of focusing on “building the company” was required, but as a result, it has meant less focus on “unlocking my audience”, now that we are in a spot where we have a strong team and have matured from growing pains, i think it’s time to put the final piece of this together to unify the entire Rekt ecosystem. people need a reason to “log into Rekt” every day. just selling drinks and hoping that strategy alone will keep us relevant within CT for the next bull market won’t cut it (i am old enough to realise when u gotta intervene and take some decisive action, even if it’s potentially controversial u gotta take risks). having a daily stream + newsletter (which i used to get quite a lot of engagement from) as well as a unique spin on trading content that’s never been done before will allow us to have a 24/7 touchpoint with our audience, community and customer base, ie, the “terminally online”. u are not going to get thru a bull market without seeing or hearing about Rekt, and Rekt Mkts will serve as a funnel for the https://t.co/mGX7yGyU4o store and all of our products to come. lots of people sit at their desk and do stuff on their computer and lots of people consume energy and focus products to help them do that. the cpg market is wildly saturated, it’s tough to create something truly unique, but brand loyalty and ownership is where we can thrive, and what has gotten us to this stage 4 years after @rektguy launched. like everything i have ever done with Rekt from day 1, this is highly experimental, but i KNOW in my ballz i have to think about this from a different lens and take some risk (and a lot more hard work) to get it to work. ALL of our successes have come from creativity and doing shit that no one has done before, and i think for us to progress to the next level we will need more of that.
