before I ran a company in compute i spent about $700k with a research firm learning it energy generation, transformers, data center shells: where the bottlenecks actually sit and how gpus get financed. not because it's nice to know: because i couldn't find one person who could explain the whole AI stack from the substation to the token, and everything in this market touches all of it. if you're trying to get up the curve, that's the order i'd learn it in. most people do it backwards and end up with strong opinions about chips and no idea what a PPA is..
