So from what I can understand (mind you extremely limited reading/research). This war isn't exactly like military vs military, it's more a war of attrition, meaning it will dragged out because of Iran's refusal to capitulate drains the US resources and no changes in regime change/threat reduction. Munition wise US obviously is superior, but continuous attacks like this isn't sustainable and the costs stack up. Who pays the price? The American people. The cost of everything basically goes up. The American people basically starts thinking "Mr. President, what in the fuck are you doing, groceries are up 50% in the last X months". Meanwhile Iran has been prepping this for 20+ years or so. Their strategy is endurance which includes proxies like Hezbollah hitting US bases, disrupting the Strait of Hormuz (20% of global oil goes through here) and basically controlling supply movement and spiking prices on anything/everything (everything you buy basically was on a truck at some point, trucks run on oil). Their goal, is defense, taking on attacks without surrendering. Anyways side note, I'm just a dude who trade, sports bet, and have a software eng background. I'm nowhere close to being politically genius on any topic like this, but I've had a lot of friends reach out last week telling me I should really start paying attention cause it's a lot bigger than previous conflicts apparently. So I tried my best in the last few hours. Would love to other inputs as well from anyone on here smarter than me. SIDE NOTE: Please I'm not siding with any country or whatever I'm just trying to be informed. I just wanna trade memes.
