Last year, I invited a few close friends to London for a Premier League weekend. Top-tier hotel rooms & tickets for Chelsea & Arsenal games. First evening, we go to Zuma. Vibes are great. After way too many drinks, one friend wants to order a bottle of red wine. End of the evening, I ask for the bill. £8000. I mean, even if Zuma is a huge scam, ~$10k for drinks and dinner for 6 people? I’m like what the fuck? I check it again thinking there’s a mistake. The dude ordered a £3000 bottle of red wine that nobody even drank because we were already completely roasted. That’s when I realized some people around me were getting way too comfortable with a lifestyle they didn’t build themselves. It's sad but the more you spoil people around you, the more disappointed you’ll eventually be.
